Honeymoon Getaway

Since many of you have asked where we went for our honeymoon
here’s a few pictures.
However they don’t adequately capture the serene beauty
and subtle pamperings that were waiting to be discovered in the
northern part of the country. As unlikely as it may sound we were
isolated in Israel, tucked away in a log cabin on the escarpment
of upper Galilee. From the jacuzzi we looked out over forested
hills and watched the sun set over Israel’s northern border.
Truly delightful.

Some of our discoveries in nature

Brian thought a run would start the marriage off right…

The views really were
great - but I guess
you’ll have to take
our word for it.

As
an unexpected treat and opportune substitute to leaving a day
early (we had over- calculated our cabin reservation) we were
invited to spend our last night with an Arab family. We had just
met George, the father, in a national park on one of our ventures
into nature.
They were all too happy to be part of our honeymoon. They put
together a BBQ, the kids gave us their beds, and we watched their
wedding video all night. Seeing that George was the only Hebrew
speaker, conversation was truncated but sweet. And hey, now we
have a standing invitation anytime were back in Gush Halav.
