Heart: Relationship with God
"you shall love the Lord your God with all your HEART,
soul, mind, and strength"
The chief aspect of Narkis Street Congregation is our relationship
with God. How we interact and communicate with our Maker
affects all other relationships within and outside of our fellowship.
Our Identity for Our
Relationship with God
Our relationship with God and His Kingdom is summed
up in the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:9-13.
We learn from this prayer that a dynamic relationship with God
is founded on love, reverence, gratitude, repentance, forgiveness,
and humility.
Through the redemptive death and resurrection of
His Son, Jesus and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon His
followers, our relationship with God is direct and assured. Jesus’ victory
over death empowers us to overcome sin, share in his sufferings
exemplified by the cross, and to live with an undying hope in
this world and in the world to come.
Our congregation builds our relationship with God
through worship and prayer that is obedient to the Holy Spirit.
If our relationship with God is damaged or impaired, community
life will also suffer (Josh. 7; Num. 25:1-9). Our congregation
endeavors to build a home where God’s Spirit dwells in
the midst of our praise and our heart cries (Rev. 21:3).

Our Vision for Our
Relationship with God
Narkis Street Congregation seeks to commune with God through
prayer and worship both individually and corporately (2 Chr.
7:14). God is enthroned among the praises of His people (Ps.
22:3), and God answers those who call upon Him (Isa. 55:6-7;
Jer. 33:3; Zech. 13:9).
• We are a House of Prayer for All Nations, and to foster
a supportive environment for prayer and worship growing out of
pure and repentant hearts.
• We are a forum of freedom for both visiting pilgrims
and local residents who together are embracing God’s Kingdom.
• We break up into small groups during the Saturday/Shabbat
service to lift up our praises and our burdens in a communal
manner.
• We gather weekly to pray for the immediate needs of
the congregation and the community at large.
• We encourage each member to have a daily time dedicated
to commune with God.
